The French title fails to convey the idea that the story is as much about McCabe as it is about Mrs Miller. Then again, even though the striking, evocative music from Leonard Cohen describes her as the main character from the start, the screenplay doesn't introduce her until much later, and it only makes mild attempts at putting a specific focus on her...
Still, it remains a good revisionist western story, with fine acting and nice photography.
